• REVIEW: CANTONA was a fortified city with a high urbanization level at prehispanic times, probably founded by Olmec-Xicalanca groups towards the late Classical Period. Cantona sat astride an old trading route between the Gulf Coast and the Central Highlands and was a prominent, if isolated, Mesoamerican city between 600 and 1000 CE. It was abandoned after AD 1050. Site comprises a road network with over 500 cobblestone causeways, more than 3,000 individual patios, residences, 24 ball courts and an elaborate acropolis with multiple ceremonial buildings and temples.

• REVIEW: CHOLULA is considerated the oldest inhabited city of the americas for its uninterrupted human presence since the last 3,000 years with people from different ethnic origin such as Olmecs, Olmec-Xicalancas, Teotihuacan and Toltec. Cholula was meeting point for pilgrims of the gods of ancient Mexico, as well as the host city of the wind god Quetzalcoatl also known as "plummed serpent" or "snake with feathers". In 1519, Hernan Cortes and his soldiers arrived in Cholula and referred to find a magnificent city occupied by 365 pyramids and temples to honor many other prehispanic gods. The most important pyramid of this Mesoamerican city is the great pyramid of Cholula whose square base is the largest ever built worldwide. Cholula also has examples of colonial architecture and indigenous religious art that distinguish it as the church of Santa Maria Tonanzintla.

Cholula era un punto de encuentro para peregrinos de los dioses del antiguo México, así como la ciudad anfitriona del dios del viento Quetzalcóatl, también conocido como "serpiente emplumada" o "serpiente con plumas". En 1519, Hernán Cortés y sus soldados llegaron a Cholula y refirieron encontrar una magnífica ciudad ocupada por 365 pirámides y templos para honrar a muchos otros dioses prehispánicos. La pirámide más importante de esta ciudad mesoamericana es la gran pirámide de Cholula, cuya base cuadrada es la más grande jamás construida en todo el mundo. Cholula también tiene ejemplos de arquitectura colonial y arte religioso indígena que la distinguen como la iglesia de Santa María Tonanzintla.

• REVIEW: TEOTIHUACAN is today known as the site of many of the most architecturally significant Mesoamerican pyramids built in the pre-Columbian Americas. Teotihuacan began as a new religious center in the Mexican highland around the first century AD. This city came to be the largest and most populated center in the New World. Teotihuacan was even home to multi-floor apartment compounds built to accommodate this large population. Although it is a subject of debate whether Teotihuacan was the center of an state empire, its influence throughout Mesoamerica is well documented; evidence of “Teotihuacano” presence can be seen at numerous sites in Veracruz and the Maya region. The Aztecs may have been influenced by this city. The site covers a total surface area of 83 square kilometres (32 sq mi) and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. It is the most visited archaeological site in Mexico.

• RESEÑA: TEOTIHUACAN es conocido hoy como el sitio de muchas de las pirámides mesoamericanas arquitectónicamente más importantes construidas en la América precolombina. Teotihuacan comenzó como una nuevo centro religioso en el Altiplano de México alrededor del siglo I después de Cristo. Esta ciudad llegó a ser el centro más grande y más poblada del Nuevo Mundo. Teotihuacan fue aún el hogar de complejos de apartamentos de varios pisos construido para dar cabida a esta gran población. Aunque es un tema de debate si Teotihuacan fue el centro de un imperio del Estado, su influencia en toda Mesoamérica está bien documentado, evidencia de la presencia de "teotihuacano" se puede ver en numerosos sitios en Veracruz y la región Maya. Los aztecas pudieron haber sido influenciados por esta ciudad. El sitio cubre una superficie total de 83 kilómetros cuadrados (32 millas cuadradas) y fue elegida como la UNESCO Patrimonio de la Humanidad en 1987. Es el sitio arqueológico más visitado de México.
